Computers in Education class was so much fun this week. Different from the usual college group activities, this project was not one of the same old boring activities that most teachers give out. I loved the project we had in class on Thursday. Instead of being just another group project where the students have to read and then share with the class, we actually go to get up, get creative, and go outside and have fun. Although I am not totally sold on the whole technology thing, this activity was not hours sitting in front of a computer monitor but it was not an out dated way of doing things in the classroom. I also enjoyed the project because instead of emailing back and forth, we could sit as a group and decide together what needed to get done and how we were going to do it. Another thing that I thought was helpful was when it came time to present our photos we all had a small part in it not just one person; it can be nerve racking going up and presenting your work to the class alone. All in all I have no complains about the project at all. I would use it in my own classroom and if for some reason I would not use it there then I would find somewhere else to use this idea.
